SATS week over and out…

This week was SATS week for Oscar. A little bit of stress was had but once the first day was out the way it went away. When Bex was at the same school as Oscar is now, Year 6 started with a lecture to us parents on the important of SATS etc. How they be doing this, we need to do that and buy this book etc. Bex actually left that school before SATS were upon us and the school she went to had opted out of SATS. Personally I think a wise move, I mean do children of that age need to feel stressed out for what it seems is the sake of the school statistics other than the child’s. At the time when  Bex’s new school had opted out we … Read entire article »

Meal Planning Monday

Meal Planning Monday

My first meal planning week was a success. I only changed one meal, Wednesday roast as we had people viewing the house in the evening (though didn’t turn up!).  I thought the smell of roast either you love or hate so had toad in the hole and cooked it late. The veggie burgers I made were super yummy and loved by … Read entire article »

Oscar’s sandwich with Allinson bread and herbs

Oscar’s sandwich with Allinson bread and herbs

I am always up for a challenge so when Gemma asked if like to come up with a recipe using Allinson Bread and the herbs from the great herb garden offer I couldn’t say no. Firstly the herb garden kit arrived. I rather liked the box which is waterproofed so you don’t get a soggy kitchen window sill. It came with … Read entire article »

I Love – (or not)

I love to tidy my house for someone to view it but not turn up. I love walking the dogs in the rain for over an hour in the evening while we wait for you to not turn up. I love the flannel the estate agents tell you. I love the way they think you don’t have a single brain cell. I love the way errors are just brushed aside. I love the fact my house was special and showed at a London property show just like all of your property’s. I love the way I was told to make up for the long line of mistakes that have been made. I love the way my property forgot to get uploaded to … Read entire article »
