If there is ever a perfect time to go to the cinema for a family trip it has to be for the run up to Christmas. With the calendar speeding by at a rate of knotts the release date of the ‘The Rise of the Guardians’ of 30th November in the U.K is just about perfect for a couple of hours spent in the cinema.  Add a Christmas flavour to it and it becomes just about perfect.

No Christmas movie would be complete without the man himself but here you will find him in a slightly different way. Teamed up with the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, Easter bunny asking the help of Jack Frost to protect the children of the world. Add lots of action, smiles, a magic portal and a strong positive message and there you have yourselves a great film to watch.

The Rise of  the Guardians is based on William Joyce’s ‘The Guardian of Childhood’ series of which he is now working on building the series up to 13 books. Of course you expect nothing less from Dreamworks than fantastic animation, gorgeous colours and a sense of humour to keep us parents happy watching  too.
