Managing your online energy

Life is busy, no matter how organised we are (yes I know I am not the most organised in the world) we never seem to have enough time to do everything we need to get done. But here I am and here you are as you are reading this, well we are online aren't we?!!!
So the joy of the internet I admit can be a time sucker (usually when we are enjoying it most!) but also as a time-saving. I kind of like a bit of balance don't you? So online I save time by doing my online shopping every two weeks. This saves me a 20 minute journey to the shop, then let's be honest nearly an hour in there and 20 minutes back. Online I do it in about 20 minutes and the unpacking well that takes the same time of course. I am also sure doing it this way saves me money as well.
When I need a recipe, quite often I just Google it. I balance Christmas shopping online with local shopping to save time and of course money too. I look for special offers online for day's out which often when booked in advance saves you even more money.
Then there is the paying bills, now let's be honest this is not going to be a highlight of your
day but the easier it can be well I am all for that, short of getting someone else to pay them!!!
British Gas are encouraging everyone to pay their bills online saving us time and when you Register now you will get 2000 Nectar Points with additional rewards for submitting meter readings online and utilising the online dashboard. British gas know us modern Mum's want convenience especially when it comes to things we rather not waste too much time on. In fact 7 out of 10 of us turn to the internet to help us with our busy lives with 46% including myself are using the internet every fews hours.
Now only yesterday I did waste a precious hour of my day going to pay two bills I couldn't pay online. No the bank wasn't too busy but in that time I bumped into two people and yes chatted a 'wee' longer than I really should have!!! It was good to have a chat don't get me wrong but to be honest I had a list which didn't get finished by the time my two came home from school. So had I been able to pay online I would have saved myself that hour and also the money I spent on the chocolate bar!!!
With most of us using our phone to go on the internet we can easily pop on while waiting for the children to come out of school, when out on a dog walk or when going from A to B as long as your are not driving!!! With British Gas you can do all your paying bills online but also it makes it easier to monitor your consumption too so pop here and Find out more You can even booked an engineer online and know when he is on his way, how cool is that!
As great multi-taskers that we are, many are already paying bills whilst 39% do it when doing housework (get two boring jobs done at the same time) and 22% whilst using the loo (sorry that doesn't appeal to me!).
So what do you do online that saves you time and money? No I don't want to hear any multi-tasking toilet stories either!!!
