Bruno Tonioli most of us know as a judge from Strictly Come Dancing, but growing up in Italy Bruno is also passionate about cooking and most importantly cooking then eating together with his family and friends.
So it is no surprise that his Autumn range designed for QVC has a fantastic sharing and eating together feel to it. The range starting price at just £17 for the pepper mill. I love the pair of gorgeous rectangle terracotta bakers available in red or yellow priced at £21.50 so have endless possiblilities from pasta bakes, vegetable crumbles, sweet crumbles to name but a few. There really gorgeous colours just shout family meals to me and the price I think is really good value as terracotta cookware lasts a long time. I have two pieces that have been going strong for over 15 years.
The range also includes Tagines not strictly Italian but again inspiring meals together, a wine cooler, salt and pepper grinders, and two different cook pots all of which are in gorgeous rich colours. There is also a rather lovely multi function griddle perfect for chicken, steak, fish and vegetables.
I was sent the Bruno Tonioli 24cm Tilt multi use cooking pot which has a clever tilting stainless steel colander that fits inside for use with pasta and vegetables. The pot is non-stick and the outside has a scratch resistant coating. It is a fantastic size, looks totally gorgeous on the table and really I promise inspires to cook things that it can be served straight to the table. You can put it in the oven up to 160ºC . It is priced £36.25 but has an introductory price of £32.98 it comes in a gorgeous shade of red, green or blue pop here to take a look.
I have used this pot 4 of the 7 nights I have had it, making smokey sausage casserole, chicken and spinach curry, vegetable casserole and finally lemony spinach and cream cheese pasta which I thought I share the recipe with you and it is really simple, quick and very tasty. Third helping were had here!!!
Lemony Spinach and cream cheese pasta sauce
For the sauce for 4 hungry people you need:
1 200g tub of cream cheese
100ml of milk
zest of 2 lemons
1 large onion chopped
2 garlic cloves chopped
Freshly ground black pepper
A little olive oil or butter
You need to:
- Heat the butter or oil in a large saucepan
- Gently fry your onions until golden brown and softening, then add the garlic and cook for a further minute.
- Gradually add the spinach and cook until it is all just wilted. Add the cream cheese and stir.
- Stir in the milk and add the lemon zest. Season with black pepper and serve with your favourite pasta.
I hope Bruno approves of my recipe and I certainly approve of his multi cooking pot which I know will get years of use and make for lots of happy family and friend evening meal.
I would like to thank Jen for sending me the cooking pot, it truly is a pleasure to cook with and serve supper in.
