Sponsored Video – Aviva Home Insurance & Unusual Homes
Yes I added ‘Unusual homes’ to the title, otherwise if you are anything like me you would of clicked away! Yep home insurance is not the most exciting of things now is it? But exciting or not it one of those things you sleep easier knowing you have. Anyhow, I am not teasing you on the unusual homes, as if I do that to you Now when it comes to unusual home, mmm I have to confess that probably isn’t me! Though of course I would like it to be but what would I do to make my home unusual? Well in the past I have talked about loving things like this guy has in his home in the video. When I say talked, that is like as in … Read entire article »

Cartmel Village shop – The Summer range
We have been lucky enough to be sent two more lovely pudding. My family love me for being part of the Cartmel Village People tasting panel though for me it is a bit of a tease not being able to eat them. I am always a bit lacking in making puddings which is very slack of me I know, but obviously with a thriving business like Cartmel Village shop I am not alone. We were sent the … Read entire article »

Am I a soppy Mum?
So Oscar is away for the week. He is off on his first ever residential and the first time he has been away from home for more than an overnight sleepover. I bravely didn’t cry when they drove off in the coach (honest) and when I gave him a hug goodbye (I love the way he is more than happy to hug me in front of all his friends!) I swallowed hard as not to blub!!! As … Read entire article »

Guest post – Summer Inspiration
After just waving Oscar off for five days away on an activity residential, today was the perfect day for Sarah to guest post for me about Summer inspiration. The post contains a sponsored link of a company I support. Summer Inspiration The summer holidays are a very exciting time for your kids, but sometimes they don’t feel the excitement and are instead complaining to you about boredom. Every parent knows that once the initial feeling of not having … Read entire article »

Fresh Berry Butter Biscuits
These biscuits came about when Mermaid Cookware asked me to come up with some recipes to use with their range. I thought fresh fruit especially berries would be nice added to biscuits instead of dried fruit. So holding my breath (actually I tested two out first just in case!) I gave them a go and I must say they came out much better than I even hoped for. So here is my recipe for some perfect … Read entire article »

Gold Medalists
Royal Mail throughout the year always do some wonderful stamps. Apart from a very brief stamp collection when younger we don’t as such collect stamps. But I have to say I think the Gold Medallists stamps are very exciting. Royal Mail will be producing a stamp for every Great Britain team Gold Medal winner in the Olympic Games London 2012. Not only that, they will be available in 500 selected Post offices across the U.K the very next day and some post offices will open on Sundays just for this. Then the stamps will be available to a further 4500 Post offices after that. The image on the stamps will be where possible a photo of the Gold Medal winner or winning team in action from their Gold Medal winning final or … Read entire article »

The loveliest paper aeroplane
When I was getting in the washing yesterday a little ‘Mum’ call was followed by a paper aeroplane winging its way from Oscar bedroom window. Playing paper aeroplanes and making them of course is rather liked in this house. In fact I have been really impressed at how some of them turn out. But this aeroplane that flew out was my favourite yet. It wasn’t made with pretty paper like these… But it had a lovely note … Read entire article »

Sponsored Video – ‘What’s that?’ by Organix
It seems a long time since my two were at the ‘What’s that?’ stage. Where everything is a question and as parents we need the answers. The questions get harder as they get older just to warn you!!! But when it comes to finding things they love to eat, I think perhaps as they get older it does get easier or in my two’s case anyway. As a Mum who loves to cook, my two have always … Read entire article »
