About me page time for a update

About me page time for a update

Yes I really think it is time for me to update my about me page. So what am I doing waffling about it here when I should be typing it up on the right page. Over a cuppa is over two years old now, which is the same age as my about me page. I am no longer heading into my 40th birthday but heading to 42 *sigh* . Bex and Oscar are growing up, Bex … Read entire article »

Beautiful girl going to Beautiful day’s

My beautiful girl is off to Beautiful days tomorrow.  Even cooler for her she is leaving the ‘old folks’ behind, so Bex’s first experience of a festival will be slightly free but hoping sure that our friends will keep a close eye on her!!! This Summer I have loved reading the ‘Festival’ blog posts and think perhaps I have missed out a wee bit as I confess I have never been to a festival. Even growing … Read entire article »

Tonight Oscar is being a tree, yes it’s the end of primary production tonight and Oz is a tree.  Of course with his name he should have been the Wizard but my Oz being Oz wanted to be a tree. Freedom & growing up

Freedom & growing up

It’s a funny word really isn’t it? Freedom could be to do as you like or perhaps to have space. I am sure lot of us feel that we don’t have the freedom we would like to but on the times we do I love to enjoy it. My two are growing up, they are both fab children and I know I had a good part in that (yes it’s good give yourself a pat on … Read entire article »

The loveliest paper aeroplane

The loveliest paper aeroplane

When I was getting in the washing yesterday a little ‘Mum’ call was followed by a paper aeroplane winging its way from Oscar bedroom window. Playing paper aeroplanes and making them of course is rather liked in this house. In fact I have been really impressed at how some of them turn out. But this aeroplane that flew out was my favourite yet. It wasn’t made with pretty paper like these… But it had a lovely note … Read entire article »

A new ‘period’ in our life

I have been waiting for this a good 2 1/2 years, certainly been on stand by for the last year. The times I have heard loud calling (shouting!) from a closed bathroom door. Rushed up with heart pounding and a slight sick feeling in my tummy, only to be met by “There is no loo roll!” or “Get that huge spider out of here!”. So when a few days ago Bex came down stairs and said “Mum can you change my sheets I got period on it” I was kind of like ‘Umm’ this is not how I imagined it. I imagined scenes of crying, me feeling like ‘oh my baby growing up’ but alas no. A quick lesson ‘Pantyliner putting on’ and a brief “Uh that’s disgusting at the joys of what … Read entire article »
