It is national baking week

It is national baking week

As it is national baking week I thought I do a round-up of my favourite bakes I make. This is also a page I will come back to a lot as I am SO disorganised that I don’t print out my own recipes so if my favourites are in one place then that will make my life easier too! I baked when I was younger and now I have baked far more in the last 5 … Read entire article »

These are as named really easy biscuits to make. Nice, quick, easy biscuit recipe and no rolling involved. I love the rustic look of these biscuits, the sort of biscuits you would buy and have to pay far too much for far too few biscuits!!! Perfect for adding to the lunch boxes and of course perfect with a cup of tea. You can also easily switch flavours see suggestions at the end. For this really easy biscuit … Read entire article »

Baking with Pampered Chef & ginger cake recipe

Baking with Pampered Chef & ginger cake recipe

Many years ago I seem to be going to Pampered Chef parties a lot. They were always fun with a strong ethos on great cooking and baking but easily achieved. Perfect just the way I like it. So when Carla asked me if I would like to try a couple of things out I was more than happy to do that. I had told her I already owned quite a few bits as after seeing the … Read entire article »

Keep it Simple Lemon Cakes

Keep it Simple Lemon Cakes

As it is National Baking Week, I couldn’t not add a recipe. For me the word baking say’s ‘cakes’ and there is nothing easier to whip up than a batch of fairy cakes. Something to enjoy with a ‘cuppa’, something to add to a lunch … Read entire article »

Simple pleasures – Late Summer

Late Summer, well the beginning of September so I assume we can call it that! I love this time of year, but equally don’t like it as it is the beginning of another school year. Though for now, for a few more days I won’t think about that quite yet. So the simple pleasures for now has to be picking berries. From a little girl to now I have always enjoyed going out and collecting those beautiful coloured berries. Okay you might get a little bit scratched, your hands and especially nails will look a bit purple for a day or so but………. Blackberries being mine and the children’s favourite can be transformed into beautiful coloured goodies to eat. We made ‘Blackberry and Apple Muffins‘, we made ours gluten free by swapping the flour, … Read entire article »
