Soppy Mum Happy
Yes Oscar is home, back full of exciting tales and lots and lots of fun was had. Yes he had missed us but I would say hardly at all, in fact he may of just said that to be nice!!!
Raft building, water volley ball, zip wires (he loved it so much had a 2nd go), archery, fencing, air ball, mountain biking and more that I have yet to hear about. He does have diary entries which I am allowed (!) to read today!!!
Clean underwear was worn, clothes changed by the look of it only when they got soaked in water activities. Wet shoes and old trainers were overlooked even for wet activities!!! Teeth were brushed most days, soap mmm not so sure!!! But all in all a fantastic time was had. Would he like to go again a very definite YES was said.
Despite missing Oscar, I am so glad he went. I am sure he has grown and not just in height but as a person too.
The success of his trip was a lesson to me too. I confess I really didn’t want him to go (not that I told him!) as he is such a home boy (like me well not a boy). Oscar wanted to go, not like ‘Yeah I can’t wait’ but more ‘Yeah I would like to go’ half smile sort of way. The fact he came back totally loving it and I know that it did him good, just as it was good for me to see that in him too.
Like I say parenting is a funny old game and just with everything in life, you are always learning.
2 loads out 1 more to go!!!
Now for the 3rd load of washing to hang out and Oscar has some games planned for me and I might get to read the diary!!!
Oh yes and does PGL really stand for ‘Parents get lost’?
