Meal Planning Monday

I am looking out the window and I am thinking my meal planning has to be warm meals, minimal hassle. If this weather keeps up it means I will be regularly wet. The evening or pre-dark walk with the dogs will mean even wellies and coat will still mean I return soggy. I can not bring myself to wear waterproof trousers I really can’t. Having said that count myself lucky living on a hill as so many poor people need their waterproofs in their homes.
I also want to get the slow cooker out but the kids say everything I cook in it comes out tasting like stew. So I am going to throw in a sausage slow cooker recipe, surely sausages won’t taste like stew?!!!
So here is what else we will be eating this week.
Monday: We have left over chicken from the roast, it will be used up somehow. Yet to decide though!!!
Tuesday: Let’s fool them with sausages in the slow cooker, yes it will be a casserole and hopefully it will not taste like stew!!! Served with mash and veg
Wednesday: Spicy Veggie bean burgers, potato wedgies and naked coleslaw salad.
Thursday: Broccoli and cream cheese pasta
Friday: Chilli tortilla layer, guacamole and salad.
Saturday: Homemade Pizza and salad
Sunday: Chicken all in one tray bake
So that is what we will be eating this week, not anything excitingly new really but meals I am sure everyone will eat and enjoy, which is my main objective.
Oscar is making flapjacks and school on Wednesday and I am going to have a go and different Christmas recipes to add here fingers crossed!!!
I have linked up with At Home with Mrs M with her Meal Planning Monday, pop over to see what everyone else is cooking up this week. Let hope the weather improves in the week. I am about to press publish it just after 9a.m and it looks more like 4.30p.m very grim and I am out in it most of the morning now, still no to the waterproofs trousers!!!

Great meals, esp Sunday, I love just throwing everything on a tray and shoving it in the oven, that’s my kind of cooking! Hope the weather improves for you soon.
Yes tray bakes are perfect especially this time of year
