Macmillian Cancer Care & Kenco

Anya asked me if I would like to do a coffee morning with Kenco raising money for Macmillian Cancer Care. Kenco is an official sponsor for The worlds biggest coffee morning usually held on the 28th September, which raises money for Macmillian a charity that supports anyone affected by cancer. It is a fantastic charity and one that provides important support and help in many different ways.

It was a bit short notice so I decided on having our fund raising on Friday evening, yes I know it should be a coffee morning but the most important thing was to raise money. We decided to do coffee & cakes and a raffle which we manged to raise £71.05 which seeing as it was held at our house on a very wet Friday evening I was pretty pleased. Everyone had a really great time, drank coffee, ate cake, chatted whilst raising money so that can’t be bad can it?!!!

Anya sent us some yummy Kenco Millicano coffee which everyone loved and meant I was making fab coffee in an instant, put me straight on a T.V advert!!!! She also sent us a lovely tin of biscuits which we put as one of the raffle prizes. A friend of ours also gave us a £20 Inspire Desire gift voucher, her jewellery business which got the ladies purses opening for more chances to win Thank you Alison for that one x

I made lots of cakes as I love baking and they sold well but equally to do a fun raiser like this you could keep it really simple with coffee and biscuits. Lots of people will be having coffee mornings (or like me evenings!) through out October so if you fancy giving it a go do because it is worth it.

This morning I paid  the £71.05 into Macmillian Cancer Care bank account, it may not be a mega amount but I everything all helps and I am glad I did it and also everyone who came were too

Thank you Anya for asking if I would like to do this, the Kenco Millicano coffee was great and enjoyed by all, it seemed very busy to be able to take photo’s so the cake shot was as the doorbell rang for the first person arriving and then it was coffee making and chatty!!! The person who won the biscuits was chuffed too!!!
