Handmade Horizons Marketing Course

Handmade Horizons Marketing e-CourseBack at the beginning of the year you may remember I won a scholarship on the Handmade Horizons marketing course. Lucky me I know!!! When I heard about the course I knew it was what I needed. I watched their introduction video and thought, one, these ladies know what they are talking about, two they have the knowledge that I need and three they are super human.  Although we are all human so many times with this sort of thing you get people who well just aren’t on the same wave length, and to learn I think this is really important.

Now your come to the name ‘Handmade Horizons’ well firstly I don’t make anything handmade so you may wonder why I got so much out of the course. Although the course is aimed at those lucky people who make gorgeous things so much of it is also aimed at any kind of business.

Polly and Claire who run the course have tons of experience, passion and a lot of kindness too. They are so helpful and every step of the course was relevant. I did not at any time feel the course wavered and with regular call ins you felt at all times part of an actual course not just stuck at home with emails coming in.

There is a private Facebook group so you can get help, opinions and support  not just from Polly and Claire but from everyone else on the course.

You get lots of useful extra resources with ever module, which are all split and sent to you every two weeks and a fortnightly webinar on a different subject and a chance for you to ask any questions.

The course really gets you thinking in a different way and actually for marketing (and lots of us hate that bit) this is something we need to think differently about to make it effective.

Module 5 – Marketing Nitty Gritty starts with ‘Your Blogging 101′ which really does have some fab idea’s and with a 50 blog post idea’s which I have to say the unorganised part of me has let me down here which watch this space I will organise myself!!! I have a few list of ‘Blog idea’s’ from other courses and books and have to say this list is the most interesting and fun.

I love the fact you could print out all your things. I have the print outs of the resources so I can just look back at them and all my modules I printed out before I filled them in. Of course you don’t have to print them out and can do it online but for me it’s there and ready for me and I go back to my folder a lot of times to go over things when new idea’s take shape. You can download all of the course so unlike lots of other online courses there is no loss of information you haven’t either stored in your mind or in a file when the course is finished.

After every module Claire and Polly ask you to fill out a quick survey before moving on to the next module. You don’t have to do this of course but it only takes a few minutes. I found it a great mental checklist on what I had learned, how was what I learnt going to help me, it’s so easy to absorb information and not do anything with it so this is really helpful. Then finally had it sunk in and if not to make a note to go over it.

To be honest you need to pop over to the Handmade Horizons website and see what it offers you, look at the free training and meet the lovely Claire and Polly then decide for yourself. Of course now is the perfect time to arm yourself with marketing knowledge, become your own P.R and get everyone to know about you just when people are opening their purses for Christmas.

I know most businesses budgets are tight and for that reason I would not for one moment promote Handmade Horizons Marketing Course if I didn’t feel it was value for money.

To make it extra value for you if you use the discount code CUPPA15 you will receive 15% discount off the course if you join by midnight on the 10th July. Go and see what Claire and Polly have to offer you at Handmade Horizons. and if it’s for you I will look forward to catching up with you on the private Facebook group :-)

Polly and Claire have just launched an Affiliate Ambassadors program for ladies (yes I am one!) who have completed the course, and invited me to join. This means I’ll receive a percentage of the fee if somebody clicks through from my website and signs-up, and also means I’ll get exclusive deals to pass along to my readers from time-to-time. You will  see my lovely advert in the sidebar there and yes I think she is modeled on me!!! How did Claire and Polly know!!

This post has followed my strict ‘Over a Cuppa’ policy of giving honest praise only when due.
