A Fairy Hobmother visit

When I was over at the lovely Imperfect pages the other week she had been lucky enough to have a visit from the Fairy Hobmother from Appliances online and brought a rather lovely jar with the magical gift of £10 to spend on Amazon.

With the offer of commenting on this post I was in for a chance of the Fairy Hobmother coming to visit me and guess what she did.

So if you would like her to visit you comment on this post and that lovely Fairy Hobmother from Appliances online who sell all sorts of appliances including Washing machines may well pop over to visit you and I can tell you it rather nice having £10 to treat yourself.

Me, loving baking brought these fab silicone cake thingy’s which being National Coeliac Week I baked up some simple but very scrummy orange and almond cakes which were delioucly moist and loved by all the family.

Being Gluten Free myself I would like to say to any newbie gluten free people that although sometimes it is a real pain, I dreamt only two nights ago I was eating real bread that the longer your gluten free the more recipes you get used to adapting.

One extra egg make all the difference in cakes and Yorkshire pudding and extra baking powder really helps too.

I love Dove Farm flour, Harrogate  Sausages (much nicer than normal sausages I promise), Asda new Oaty (with gluten free oats) cookies are great, Genius bread when it is not to holey. Oh and gluten free liquorice, whole bag gone in two days very bad person and talking of bad Thorntons Chocolate, lots of there things are gluten free too.

My best cooking book is How to cook for food allergies by Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne show you the alternatives which opens up a whole new world of thinking.

If you know anyone who is gluten free give them a thought this week. If you are anything like me, I hate sounding like I am fussy and that for me apart from French Stick is the worse thing about being gluten free

Don’t forget to leave a comment so that the lovely Fairy Hobmother may pay you a visit !!! It is really rather nice when she comes (actually I think it might be a he!).
