The overdue library book dilemma

The overdue library book dilemma

Now this post is not just me being forgetful and disorganised (as if!) this is a post about a really overdue library book with a difference! Go back to November 2006, yes I said 2006! Okay so this might make me a bad person but let’s hear the story. Happy with one dog in our family we decided we might get another so the children all excited went dog book crazy. When visiting the library we saw … Read entire article »

Good Natured Fruit and Veg

Good Natured Fruit and Veg

Being a ‘Good natured’ person (!) I was quite sure I would love this company. Good natured is a company growing fruit, salad and veg in a good natured way. This means working with Mother nature and using natures pesticides one being one of my favourites ladybirds, to take control of the pests then eradicating the need for harmful pesticides. They were in fact the first U.K company to produce pesticide residue free fruit. Like lots of … Read entire article »

Scheduling, what me?

Scheduling, what me?

The very word brings me out in a cold sweat. You need a schedule! Your talking to me, nah I don’t need a schedule. I am me on me time, jam-packed to the brim with all sorts of juggling of things. My children have never been late for school, I have only missed a couple of dentists appointments (it’s the dentist!!!) in my life so why would I need a schedule, but…. Okay so if you think … Read entire article »

Simple Lunch box Fruit Jelly Pots

Simple Lunch box Fruit Jelly Pots

These are so simple I feel a fraud putting it up here.  But my lovely cosmopolitan friend (she will love that!) when I said about them said “Wow that is a good idea, I am going to do them”. So…. I sometimes make these when it’s getting to the end of the week. When the fruit bowl is looking a little empty and sad, or when the pineapple I brought isn’t ripe yet. Bex we talked … Read entire article »

How is your house smelling? – Review

How is your house smelling? – Review

When Jess asked if I liked to give review the new Air Wick Freshmatic Odour Detect, I sat chewed my finger then scratched my head. Walked around the house and then thought ‘Yes’. This is a product I wouldn’t have ever chosen to buy, hence the finger chewing and the head scratching. Having two long hair dogs, one with a tendency to ‘Happy rolling’ I wouldn’t need you to tell me my house sometimes (usually!) smells … Read entire article »

5 Simple changes

5 Simple changes

A change is good as a rest and all that stuff!!! Actually when I hear that saying I usually hear it in a really annoying voice, I don’t know why. Anyway here are 5 simple changes I am going to make, to make life easy for me! Number 1: Keep my tidy desk. Firstly as I typed this I had to put several bits of paper away, my kindle charger in a draw and a pen in my … Read entire article »

Get into the groove with Weight Watchers

I love this video, the lyrics and the positive energy that the song leaves you feeling. What I really love about this video though is they are all real people just like you and me. Weight Watchers have team up with Alesha Dixon who has come up with these great feel good lyrics with the help of the Weight Watchers members. Feeling good is half the battle to looking good. When we feel that we look good then we feel good too, so it’s a win win.. From someone who has gone from a size 16 back to a size 12 where I should be at, give or take a few pounds (!) I really know the difference it made to me and know those 180 real members are truly singing from … Read entire article »

Talk to your children about alcohol

Talk to your children about alcohol

To me, to be able to talk to my children about anything is important. The good, the bad, the stuff that is hard to talk about. I think keeping the talking channels open at all times is so important. But no matter how open our talking channels are sometimes we miss some of the important stuff or sometimes leave it to long. Our children grow up at a rapid rate, today’s culture means our 13-14 year olds … Read entire article »

It is Friday, Yay!!!

It is Friday, Yay!!!

I generally love Friday’s but this week Friday is even more welcome. This would mean this week has been cr*p. But today Friday is another day but I have a feeling (oh please let me be right) that today will be better. The start of the day is looking pretty perfect, sorry this picture really doesn’t show the gorgeousness of it. I am hoping the start of the promise of sunshine in the sky will mean … Read entire article »

Cake and Cardboard

Cake and Cardboard

This blog post was going to be titled ‘Cake, Cardboard and Cr*p’ but I decided to cut the ‘Cr*p out of it. Of course I can’t promise from this point to the end of the post I don’t add any detail about the  ‘Cr*p but then to be honest my ‘Cr*p today is quite small compared to other people’s bigger ‘Cr*p’ So lets move on to ‘Cardboard’ and indeed pretty things. Yes cardboard can be pretty, … Read entire article »
